Asphyxia - Asphyxia [2008]

Australia suprises me in a pleasant way this year with the band Asphyxia. They do not have any label and they have a great potential in the death metal scene.

I leave behind all the introductory stuff and I'll continue with the review.
The album "Asphyxia"(yes, the band's name) overall it sounds very good, as I said before, they have great potention but two things bother me less or more. These things are the first and the last songs, the intro and the outro, songs that do not have a sense. I think they were recorded and put in this album just to increase the number of tracks! I do not understand their meaning, they are useless, they do not crossfade with the rest of the songs, only the last one has an attempt of doing that though. They are just playing at the guitar in these songs.

But I'll leave this problem behind and say that the rest of the album is extraordinary for some beginners like them. "World Overthrown", "Silvertongue" and "The Hooded Figure" are by far the best songs and I recommend them. Zach does a really good job with the voice and the guitars sound good!

There is not too much to say about the album "Asphyxia", it isn't the greatest album of this year but it is a good effort that it is worth talking about it.
I wish them good luck and I predict them a great future if they will keep going like that!
